Terms and conditions

These terms govern this website and any Oxibet account opened from Canada. They are written to be read rather than survived, and the clauses that touch your money are flagged where they appear.

1. Scope and changes

Opening an account, depositing, placing a stake or using oxibet-canada.org constitutes acceptance of these terms and of the policies referred to in them, including the privacy notice and the framework described on the player protection page.

These terms may be amended. Any material change — anything touching fees, offer terms, withdrawal rights or the dispute route — is notified by email and in-account at least 14 days before it takes effect. Continuing to use the account after that date is acceptance. A player who does not accept a change may close the account and withdraw the balance.

Two precedence rules apply throughout. If the French rendering of any clause reads differently from the English, the English text is the operative one. And if a figure printed here disagrees with the same figure in the cashier, the cashier is the operative one — this document describes the product, it does not define it.

2. Who may hold an account

To hold an account you must:

  • be 19 or older, or 18 or older if resident in Alberta, Manitoba or Québec;
  • be legally permitted to gamble under the law applying where you are located;
  • act on your own behalf, and not as agent, trustee or nominee for anyone else;
  • not be subject to any self-exclusion or appear on a regulatory exclusion register;
  • not be an employee or contractor of the operator or of a game supplier, nor an immediate family member of one;
  • not be resident in a restricted territory. The current list is shown at registration and enforced there rather than at withdrawal.

Eligibility that cannot be established is grounds to refuse, suspend or close an account. Someone who fails a criterion without having set out to break one gets their deposits back; the winnings do not stand, because the account was never entitled to place the bets that produced them.

3. Your account

3.1 One account. One per person, household, device and IP address. Duplicates are closed, offers on them are void, and winnings derived from bonus funds on a duplicate may be confiscated. If someone in your household already plays, contact support before registering.

3.2 Accurate details. Register in your own legal name with accurate information and keep it current. A mismatch between the account name and your verification documents blocks withdrawals until it is resolved.

3.3 Security. You are responsible for your credentials. Two-factor authentication is available and recommended. Report any suspected unauthorised access immediately.

3.4 Verification. Identity, age and anti-money-laundering checks apply. Further documentation may be requested at any time, including evidence of source of funds where cumulative deposits exceed C$20,000. Withdrawals are not released until verification is complete.

3.5 Dormancy. An account with no sign-in for 12 consecutive months is dormant. From month 13 a C$5 monthly administration charge may apply, capped at the account balance. A dormant balance is never taken below zero, and signing in stops the charge.

3.6 Closure. You may close the account at any time from the account menu or through support, and a verified balance is paid out. Closure requested for responsible-gambling reasons is processed immediately and without any retention offer.

4. Deposits and payouts

4.1 Your own funds only. Deposits must come from a payment instrument in your own name. Third-party deposits are reversed and may result in closure.

4.2 Limits. Per-method minimums and maximums are published on the banking page and displayed in the cashier. Daily withdrawal ceilings run from C$5,000 to C$25,000 according to loyalty tier. Minimum withdrawal is C$20.

4.3 Return route. Payouts are made by the method the deposit arrived on wherever that method can receive funds. Where it cannot — Mastercard, Neosurf and Paysafecard — payment is made by Interac e‑Transfer to the verified email address on the account.

4.4 Charges. No deposit or withdrawal fee is charged by the operator. Third-party charges (iDebit C$1.50 per deposit, Instadebit C$1.95 per withdrawal, and Bitcoin network fees) are levied by the provider.

4.5 Currency. Canadian accounts are denominated in Canadian dollars. Cryptocurrency deposits are converted on receipt at the rate quoted at that moment.

4.6 Not a banking service. The account is a gaming account. It pays no interest and must not be used to move money. A balance funded and then withdrawn without material play may be returned net of processing costs.

5. Offers and playthrough

5.1 Opt-in required. An offer applies only where it is accepted before the qualifying deposit. Offers are never applied automatically.

5.2 The first-deposit offer. 100% of the first deposit to a maximum of C$500, plus 180 free spins at C$0.20 each released in 6 daily blocks of 30. Minimum qualifying deposit C$20. One per person, household, device and IP address.

5.3 Playthrough. 35x the bonus amount, calculated on the bonus alone and not on deposit plus bonus. Contributions: slots and instant win 100%, video poker 20%, table games, roulette, blackjack, baccarat and live game shows 10%, progressive jackpots and bonus-buy features 0%.

5.4 Stake ceiling. C$5 per spin, hand or round while any bonus funds are live. Exceeding it may void the bonus and any winnings derived from it.

5.5 Expiry. The clock on bonus funds is 14 days from the moment they are credited, and each free spin block runs for 24 hours from release. Anything left when a clock runs out is removed, and no separate warning is issued first.

5.6 Withdrawing mid-playthrough. Deposit funds may be withdrawn at any time. Doing so forfeits any unplayed bonus balance and any free spin blocks not yet released.

5.7 Abuse. Playthrough is meant to be satisfied by playing, not by engineering around the risk. Betting both sides of an outcome, or parking bonus funds exclusively on wagers with almost no variance, defeats that and can cost you the bonus along with whatever it produced.

5.8 Individual promotions. A specific promotion may carry its own terms. Where those differ from anything in this clause, the promotion’s own terms as shown in the cashier are what bind.

6. Game integrity and errors

6.1 A malfunction voids play. Where a game, server or communications fault produces an incorrect outcome, the affected round is void and stakes are returned. This applies equally to wins and to losses.

6.2 Disconnection. Slot rounds resolve server-side, so a dropped connection does not change the result. Live dealer rounds follow the table rules of the studio operating them.

6.3 Obvious pricing errors. Odds, prices and payouts that are plainly wrong on their face can be set aside, with the stakes on the affected bets handed back.

6.4 Prohibited conduct. Collusion, automated play, bots, exploiting a software defect and any attempt to influence an outcome result in immediate closure, forfeiture of the balance and a report to the licensing authority.

6.5 The record. Game logs are the definitive record of play. Where your record and the log differ, the log governs.

7. Liability

The service comes as it is and as it happens to be available. So far as the law allows, there is no liability here for knock-on losses, for profits you might otherwise have made, or for what you lose by gambling — the last of those being the ordinary and expected outcome of the activity rather than a defect in it.

Some liability cannot be signed away, fraud among it, and nothing above attempts to. Where liability does arise, the ceiling is whatever the account held at the point the claim came into existence, together with any sum held back that should not have been.

Running the other way: where a breach of these terms on your side, information you supplied that turned out to be wrong, or use of the service somewhere it is not permitted causes loss here, that loss is yours to cover.

8. Complaints, disputes and governing law

8.1 First step. Raise it with live chat or email help@oxibet-canada.org, quoting the account reference and the transaction or game round concerned. Most matters close inside 48 hours.

8.2 Escalation. If unresolved, request escalation in writing to the complaints team, which replies within 10 business days with a final position.

8.3 Taking it further. Once a final position has been issued, it can go to the licensing authority identified in this site’s footer. How to do that is set out in the final position itself, so you are never left hunting for the route.

8.4 Records. Game logs, transaction records and support transcripts form the evidential basis of any dispute and are retained for at least five years.

8.5 Which law applies. Curaçao law governs this agreement. That does not displace the consumer protections a Canadian resident holds under their own provincial legislation, and it is not intended to.

8.6 If part of this fails. A clause found unenforceable drops out on its own. Everything else in the document keeps working.

Questions Canadians ask

Which parts of this actually bite?

In practice, four. The household rule in 3.1, because it is enforced by device fingerprint rather than on trust. The C$5 stake ceiling in 5.4, because it is the clause players breach without noticing. The basis of the playthrough calculation in 5.3, because it is the one competitors write differently. And 4.3, which decides where your money physically comes back to.

What happens when these terms are amended?

Anything material reaches you by email and in-account a fortnight before it starts applying. Carrying on using the account past that date is how acceptance is recorded. Declining is equally simple: close the account and take the balance out.

I have not logged in for over a year — what now?

The account is classed as dormant at the twelve-month mark. From the thirteenth month a C$5 monthly administration charge can start, and it can never take the balance below zero. One sign-in stops it.

What is the escalation path for a dispute?

Support handles it first. If that does not settle it, ask in writing for the complaints team, who owe you a final position inside ten business days. That position can then be put to the licensing authority, and the referral instructions come with it.

Anything not covered here goes to the support desk, staffed in English and French around the clock.
